The course of digital photography for children is designed in such a way that they learn photography with creativity, fun and experiments through hands on practice. Rather going to the technicality of camera and its functions, the course covers the simple mechanics of camera. After completing this workshop your kid will not only be enhancing his / her interest in photography but also would have wide knowledge about camera and photography.
To start with a course in photography understanding its importance is essential. What is photography? Why and When to photograph? The photography and film making course includes knowing your Camera and its accessories, Understanding pinhole camera, Understanding of 35mm and large format.
Another important that children need to learn is How to hold a camera? Learning how to hold your camera in general use is one important thing included in the course. They are taught to hold their camera straight to get the composition and framing correct of the image. Learning how to hold your camera at different locations, situations and occasions is also taught as holding your camera always in straight position is not possible to get an exact image.
Photography courses and film making courses helps them to know the subject and get balance right between objects, subjects and places. They are also taught to check the background of the image. As every image speaks out a story in it, the background plays a vital role in the capturing of the image. Hence learning what to click and understanding your subject and background in any locations is as important as any other features of photography or film making.
The film making workshop and photography workshop for kids involves identifying ones point of interest through more observations and then highlighting their point of interests. Clicking maximum photos & allowing them to experiment is the better way to encourage children in these fields and hence this part is always included in every photography classes and film making classes for kids.
At last but not the least review of images clicked by kids and encouraging them to improve much better next time would definitely help them to explore in photography and film making.
